Father, we recognize that often we think a single action or election may mean the difference for this side or the other.
Help us to both understand and call to memory your place on the throne, above it all. While those of us who are fortunate and blessed to call ourselves Americans will go and vote today, help us to see the imago Dei in all of your people, even those who do not call you Lord. Help us to cast the best vote with the information we have available, but continue to guide those things that we cannot possibly see or know.
We trust that all things are a part of your plan, even when they may not be the outcome we desire.
We thank you for the many blessings we tend to forget in the moments like this.
